Franklin, MD, FACS is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology with subspecialty certification in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull base surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and book chapters, as well as taught nationally and internationally, on disorders of hearing, ear surgery, and skull base surgery. Provider Biography

Daniel J. Franklin, MD, FACS earned his BA in Biomedical Engineering summa cum laude at Rice University, where he attained the honors of Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi. He completed both his medical doctorate with honors and residency training in General Surgery and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology with subspecialty certification in Otology, Neurotology, and skull base surgery, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

After residency, Dr. Franklin completed fellowships in Otology, Neurotology, and skull base surgery at both Baylor College of Medicine and with the legendary Professor Ugo Fisch in Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Franklin completed a fellowship in Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine prior to his surgical training. He has also completed the fellowship program of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has authored numerous scholarly articles and book chapters, as well as taught nationally and internationally, on disorders of hearing, ear surgery, and skull base surgery. Dr. Franklin practiced at Rosewood ENT since 1995 and joined Texas Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists in 2017.

Dr. Franklin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has served as President of the Houston Society of Otolaryngology and as a member of the Professional Advisory Board of the Center for Hearing and Speech. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a member of the American Neurotology Society, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association.
