The head and neck are home to several body parts that are susceptible to cancer. Head and neck cancers can be found in the throat, mouth, tongue, and other areas. While the head and neck are not the first areas people tend to think of with cancer, it’s a good idea to have them screened for cancer when symptoms appear.
Head and Neck Cancer Symptoms
The symptoms of head and neck cancer will vary based on the type of cancer it is. These symptoms may also be a sign of less serious conditions, but can still be a sign of cancer. They include:
- Lump in the neck
- Sore in the mouth
- A change in the voice
- Difficulty swallowing
- Persistent sore throat
