Christopher Prichard MD, FACS

Dr. Prichard is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the Houston Society of Otolaryngology, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Prichard began with Rosewood ENT in 2007 and joined Texas Ear, Nose & Throat in 2017.

Provider Biography

Dr. Prichard earned his BS in Chemistry and in Biology with summa cum laude honors at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. At Southwestern, he attained the honors of Phi Beta Kappa, Outstanding Graduate in Biology, and President of Alpha Chi Honorary Society. In medical school he was awarded a scholarship for study abroad at Oxford Medical School. He earned his medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Prichard completed both his internship in General Surgery followed by a residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. His chief resident year included fellowship rotation in Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center. At Baylor, he was awarded the J. Charles Dickson Award for Outstanding Resident Research in Otolaryngology in 2005 for basic science research for his research on thyroid cancer, and in 2006 for clinical research.

After residency, Dr. Prichard completed the Fellowship program of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He also has training in endoscopic and minimally invasive parathyroid and thyroid surgery. He has authored multiple scholarly articles, as well as textbook chapters, in addition to local and national presentations.

He has published several articles investigating novel treatments for thyroid cancer. Dr. Prichard has served in numerous leadership roles within organized medicine. He served as Chairman of the Harris County Medical Society Council of Young Physicians in 2011 and is the President of the Western Branch of the Society for 2013. Dr. Prichard has a special interest in thyroid surgery and minimally invasive parathyroid surgery and has training in the minimally invasive and endoscopic removal of tumors of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Dr. Prichard is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, the Houston Society of Otolaryngology, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Prichard began with Rosewood ENT in 2007 and joined Texas Ear, Nose & Throat in 2017.
