Lori Henkener, M.A., CCC-SLP
Lori Henkener, Speech-Language Pathologist, is a Yankee by birth and a Texan by choice! She spent most of her childhood here in San Antonio, graduating from Churchill High School. Her undergraduate degree is in Communication Disorders from the University of North Texas. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Louis University in 1992. Although she has worked in California, Florida, Missouri and Pennsylvania, she got back to Texas as quickly as she could.
Lori specializes in adults with speech, voice and/or swallowing disorders but her main area of interest is head and neck cancer. Being able to improve a person’s quality of life and his or her ability to communicate with friends and family is beyond rewarding. She is also a runner who has completed numerous half marathons and enjoys working with other athletes, especially those with vocal cord dysfunction.
